Prior to joining JCPR, Bob's career spans more than three decades as a business journalist covering a variety of industries including financial services, distilled spirits, wine and beer, restaurants and foodservice, music, heavy construction and mining. He most recently served as Managing Editor of Investment Advisor. As Editorial Director of the Adams/Jobson Beverage Group he was responsible for the editorial content of four magazines and seven annual publications. In that role he was considered one of the nation's leading experts on beverage trends and his comments on industry issues regularly appeared in such publications as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Forbes and BusinessWeek, as well as on CNBC and Bloomberg News Radio.

For many years Bob was active in the International Foodservice Editorial Council (IFEC) serving several terms on the organization's Board of Directors, including stints as Secretary and Treasurer.

    Our Director of Client Services will be responsible for leading the firm’s business development efforts by providing the following services:

    • Proactively identify, develop and close new business opportunities to maximize Company revenue.
    • Establish and meet quarterly and annual business development goals in alignment with the executive management team.
    • Identify new business targets and report on activity and successes to executive management.
    • Manage and lead the overall prospective client relationship from the initial engagement through contract negotiations and transition to the account team.

    1. Functions as a general point of contact (for clients and internally) for public relations initiatives.

    3. Identifies and secures an array of high-level media placements for clients.

    4. Participates in with new-client onboarding; including developing agendas for discovery and analysis meetings, taking notes of meetings and/or conference calls, coordinating media trainings, coordinating with content to deliver messaging and communicating account details to other departments (media analysis, operations, etc.).

    5. Develops unique story angles and timely pitches to generate consistent client exposure.  Monitors, identifies and secures appropriate editorial calendar opportunities for clients.

    6. Develops/builds/expands effective business relationships with key media members.

    7. Assists internal team members and staff with other client, business development, and Company projects.

    8. Notifies the media analysis team of scheduled interviews and client submissions (bylines, Q&As, etc.).

    9. Acts as a steward of the JCPR brand, consistently representing and reflecting the Company’s core values, approach and high standards of excellence in all client, media and public interactions.

    Education: College degree; or equivalent related business experience.
